Mariscadora Tinned Seafood

Buy Mariscadora tinned seafood: six decades of shellfish from the Ría de Arousa

Mariscadora is the brand of Costas y Miñán, the cannery founded by Ángel Costas and Floriano Miñán in 1966 in Vilaxoán, in the heart of the Ría de Arousa. Today it produces in Cambados (Pontevedra, Galicia) with the same philosophy as on day one: raw materials from the Galician rías, artisanal production and its own sauce recipes refined over decades. When you buy Mariscadora tinned seafood, that craft comes in every tin.

A name that pays tribute to the mariscadoras

The brand takes its name from the women who gather shellfish in the Galician rías, a trade that is part of the identity of the Arousa coast. It is a statement of respect for the sea, for local culture and for the tradition behind Galician canned seafood.

60th anniversary special edition

To celebrate its 60 years, Mariscadora has launched a limited edition in individual collector's boxes. Its references include grilled lobster in extra virgin olive oil, Galician goose barnacles in extra virgin olive oil, giant fried mussels in escabeche, small sardines in extra virgin olive oil and Galician-style baked scallop. Quantities are limited and, thanks to the box, it is a gourmet gift that needs no wrapping.

Tins made for the aperitivo

Mariscadora tins shine most just as they are, freshly opened: Galician ría cockles in brine, small sardines in their oil or mussels in escabeche with bread for dipping, alongside a vermouth or an Albariño. If you want to cook with them, they work just as well in salads, rice dishes or on toast.

Quality with a Galician seal

Mariscadora holds the Galicia Calidade mark and the Pesca de Rías certification from the Galician government, two guarantees of the origin and care behind its tins.
