Pago de Carraovejas liegt an den Hängen von Peñafiel und war das erste Weingut der Ribera del Duero, das Cabernet mit bis zu 25 % verwendete, französische Eiche für seine Barriques einsetzte und die Tröpfchenbewässerung einführte.
