Das an den Hängen von Peñafiel gelegene Weingut Pago de Carraovejas war das erste in der Ribera del Duero, das Cabernet mit bis zu 25 % einsetzte, französische Eiche für seine Barriques verwendete und auf Tröpfchenbewässerung setzte.
