The Godello Crown

A Coroa Godello presents a bright straw color on the palate, with marked greenish hues in a thin layer reminiscent of harmonious combinations of green-leafed flowers, demonstrating its careful craftsmanship. Crystal-clear shine and harmonious teardrops.

The nose presents a very open aroma and remarkable intensity. It subtly displays spicy notes that blend with aromas of wild white herbs. Notes of citrus, tropical fruit, ripe stone fruit, and a light aniseed tone reminiscent of fennel emerge. It has a distinct vegetal note, typical of the variety, and is remarkably clean.

On the palate, it reveals a fresh wine, with less pronounced acidity and a smoothness and unctuousness. It is a long-lasting wine, marked by the slight bitterness characteristic of great Godellos. The aftertaste is delicately subtle with a notable hint of white flowers.

This vintage of A Coroa Godello is characterized by its freshness and great balance in the mouth.

Elaboration

Godello A Coroa is the result of grapes from eight controlled, low-yield plots at our winery. The average age of the vineyards, as well as the varying altitudes, orientations, and heterogeneity of the soils, give the wine a unique minerality and outstanding complexity.

After manual harvesting by plot, according to ripeness, and placing the grapes in 14-kilogram boxes, the grapes are gently destemmed and cold macerated (5°C). The harvest from each plot then ferments separately in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks.

The result is a harmonious blend where the nobility of the Godello variety is presented generously, offering a fresh and varietal wine. Thanks to an excellent balance between alcohol and acidity, A Coroa 100% Godello is a long and enveloping wine.
