Porthos vintage
Porthos Vintage is synonymous with centuries-old tradition and authentic flavor. A Portuguese family business, Conservas Portugal Norte, founded in 1912, selects only fish such as sardines, tuna, and mackerel, in various sauces, Vintage preserves, and also a line of smoked fish, all made without added preservatives. Each preserve respects traditional artisanal methods, including wood smoking, to highlight the natural character of the fish. Each can preserves the identity of the Portuguese coast and the commitment to quality and flavor that only comes from knowledge passed down through generations.

More than a century of expert hands.
Since 1912, generations of Portuguese canners have shaped each can of Porthos. In the factories of Matosinhos, knowledge is passed down from master to apprentice, keeping alive the traditional techniques of cleaning, cutting, cooking and canning. It is a story of families dedicated to the sea, of meticulous craftsmanship and respect for the product's timing. This century-old heritage is what makes each can a unique piece of Portuguese gastronomy.
